I. General public budget revenue

From January to May 2026, Shanghai's general public budget revenue reached 429.57 billion yuan ($63.13 billion), up 4.7 percent year-on-year.

II. General public budget expenditure

During the same period, Shanghai's general public budget expenditure totaled 418.11 billion yuan, accounting for 40.6 percent of the annual budget. Priority was given to spending on urban and rural communities, agriculture, forestry and water affairs, science and technology, and other key areas, with solid execution.
