I. General public budget revenue

In the first half of 2026, Shanghai's general public budget revenue reached 494.33 billion yuan ($73.06 billion), an increase of 5.5 percent year-on-year.

II. General public budget expenditure

During the same period, Shanghai's general public budget expenditure totaled 530.21 billion yuan, accounting for 51.5 percent of the annual budget. Spending priorities included urban and rural community development, industrial development, science and technology, and other key areas, with implementation progressing steadily.
