I. General public budget revenue

In the first seven months of 2026, Shanghai's general public budget revenue reached 601.81 billion yuan ($89.67 billion), an increase of 6.3 percent year-on-year.

II. General public budget expenditure

During the same period, Shanghai's general public budget expenditure totaled 592.14 billion yuan, accounting for 57 percent of the adjusted annual budget. Priority was given to spending in areas including urban and rural community development, science and technology, and industrial development, with budget implementation progressing well.
