The Shanghai Electronic Chemicals Zone encompasses the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, as well as sections in Jinshan and Fengxian districts. The Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, with a planned area of 29.4 square kilometers, is situated on the north shore of Hangzhou Bay, spanning across Jinshan and Fengxian districts.

It stands out with the largest number of internationally renowned multinational companies, and the highest industrial level, making it one of the national economic and technological development zones with the most advanced resource recycling. Recognized as one of the first new industrialization demonstration bases in the country, it holds the status of a national ecological industrial demonstration park.

The first phase of the Shanghai Electronic Chemicals Zone is designed to cover a land area of about 2 square kilometers. Leveraging the robust industrial foundation of the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, top-tier safety and environmental supervision, and abundant innovative resources, the Shanghai Electronic Chemicals Zone focuses on developing products like photoresist and supporting materials, electronic special gases, and humidifying electronic chemicals.

The Shanghai Electronic Chemicals Zone aims to position itself as an electronic chemicals base with functions encompassing independent research and development, localized production, logistics and warehousing, bonded reserves, and domestic and foreign trade. This strategic positioning intends to extend its influence to the Yangtze River Delta, serving the entire country, and providing essential material support for the development of the integrated circuit industry.
