Situated in Pudong New Area, south of Zhangjiang Science City, the Zhangjiang Innovative Drug Industry Base spans a planned total area of 3.1 square kilometers. It serves as a crucial platform for implementing the high-quality development of Shanghai's biopharmaceutical industry, contributing significantly to the innovation corridor linking North and South Pudong.

The base focuses on original drugs and key drugs industries, and positions itself as a high-end manufacturing, green manufacturing, and intelligent manufacturing hub. It targets the industrialization of high-tech, high value-added, and environmentally friendly projects in areas such as original new drugs, immunotherapy, gene therapy, and other fields. It also concentrates on its high-end contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) platform, striving to become a globally influential innovation drug industrialization base.
