Bay Area Biopharmaceutical Port
The Bay Area Biopharmaceutical Port is located in Jinshan district, covering a planned area of 4.74 square kilometers. The core area of 405 acres is a cooperative area between the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Zhangjiang Group, jointly building “Zhangjiang R&D, Jinshan Intelligent Manufacturing.” It focuses on the development of biotechnology drugs, vaccines, formulations, modern traditional Chinese medicine, CAR-T cell therapy, and other fields.
Currently, the park has gathered 52 biotechnology enterprises, aiming to establish a one-stop, full-chain, full-life-cycle service system for pharmaceutical R&D and production. Efforts are being made to create a domestically leading biopharmaceutical R&D innovation center, industrial incubation center, and high-end manufacturing center, as well as to build a biopharmaceutical industry ecosystem with international competitiveness that serves as a regional driving force.
Leveraging its manufacturing advantages, the park is actively becoming a key receiving area for the transformation of life and health science and technology achievements worldwide, aiming to create an important life and health manufacturing base in Shanghai.
