The Large Aircraft Industrial Park is located in the southern part of Shanghai Pudong International Airport, within the Lingang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The industrial park occupies a site covering 24.7 square kilometers, of which 7.86 square kilometers is in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the only special comprehensive bonded zone in China.

Guided by the development focus of "Large Aircraft, Major Hub, Innovation Valley, Free Trade Port", the park leverages the advantages of Lingang Special Area and the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone, tapping into the strengths of large passenger aircraft and the connectivity of the international air hub. Its goal is to establish a platform for the development, science and innovation, production, influence and attraction of the aviation industry. By bringing together high-end businesses in aviation, including R&D, manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and service industry chain, the park's ultimate aim is to build a cluster of Chinese suppliers for commercial aircraft and ensure the security of the aviation industry supply chain.
