The 2025 Shanghai Marathon kicks off on Nov 30. To help you prepare with confidence, here is what you need to know about collecting your race pack and getting ready for race day. Save this guide and share it with your fellow runners.

Race pack collection

1. Make a pickup appointment

To keep the venue smooth and crowd-free, all runners must book a time slot before collecting their race pack.

How to book

• Log in to the official Shanghai Marathon website or the Shanghai Marathon app.
• Go to "My Registration".
• Select "2025 Shanghai Marathon" and choose a pickup time slot.

2. Pickup dates and times

Nov 27, 28, & 29 at 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Please arrive strictly within your reserved time slot. Late arrivals may result in disqualification and refusal to issue your race pack.

3. Pickup location

Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center North Plaza, No 850 Bocheng Road

4. Documents you must bring

Bring the original identification you used during registration. Race packs must be collected in person. Proxy collection is not allowed.

Failure to provide the required ID may result in disqualification and refusal of your race pack.

5. Important reminders

• After receiving your number bib, test your chip in the chip inspection area and check your name and number.
• You may choose your T-shirt size on site. Some sizes are limited and cannot be exchanged once issued.
• Runners must collect their race packs within the designated dates. Late pickups will not be accepted and will be treated as a withdrawal.
• Keep your race pack secure. Lost items will not be reissued.
• No postal delivery or race day pickup is available.

6. Transportation guide

Metro

• Line 8, China Art Museum Station, Exit 3, approximately 430 meters on foot
• Line 13, Shibo Avenue Station, Exit 1, approximately 690 meters on foot
• Line 7, Yaohua Road Station, Exit 4, approximately 1.1 kilometers on foot

Bus

• Route 83 or 1049, Bocheng Road at Zhoujiadu Road Station, approximately 64 meters on foot
• Route 1118 or Pudong 98, Shibo Avenue at SWEECC Road Station, approximately 258 meters on foot
• Tourist Bus Route 3, China Art Museum Station, approximately 377 meters on foot

Parking

• P2 underground parking lot via Gate E2 on Zhoujiadu Road
• Expo Place underground parking lot
• River Mall underground parking lot

Race day arrangements

1. Start times

This year's race will use a wave start. Please enter your assigned corral on time.

• 6:45 am Wheelchair athletes
• 7 am Professional athletes, (probationary) accredited level athletes, Corral A and B
• 7:10 am Corral C
• 7:20 am Corral D and E

2. Closing times

Closing times may be moved earlier under special circumstances. Always follow on-site instructions.

3. Race etiquette

• You will receive weather updates before race day to help you prepare. While waiting in the start area, dispose of any single-use raincoats, warm-up layers, water bottles, or other items along the sides of the course. Do not leave anything in the middle of the track to avoid accidents.
• All runners must wear sportswear appropriate for road running. If your attire does not meet event requirements, staff may ask you to adjust it before entering the start area.
