Q: I lived in Shanghai from Oct 2020 to July 2022 and need to get my tax records for Jan 2022 to July 2022. I no longer have a Chinese mobile number and cannot access the tax service app to download. What should I do?

A:  You can apply for personal income tax records by visiting the Shanghai Municipal Tax Service website, the mobile app of "自然人电子税务局" or the physical tax service hall.

To authorize someone else to apply for your tax records, you must provide:

• Original, valid identification documents of both the principal and authorized person;
• Written authorization materials from the principal.
