Jing'an district is experiencing a surge in inbound consumption, fueled by a growing number of international visitors.

During the May Day holiday, tax refund sales across the district rose 23 percent year-on-year, while "refund-upon-purchase" sales jumped 115 percent. Major shopping areas also recorded a 42.9 percent increase in average daily overseas visitors compared with the same period last year.

To meet this growing demand, Suhewan MixC World and Jing'an Joy City have introduced tax refund service counters for the "refund-upon-purchase" service. Suhewan MixC World accepts refund claims from all participating stores across the city, while Jing'an Joy City handles claims from participating stores within the mall.

Meanwhile, at Jing'an Joy City, shoppers visiting participating stores such as Xiaomi, Uniqlo, and Muji can also complete the refund process before customs verification at the member service center on the seventh floor, North Tower.

The upgraded tax refund services are now available across different shopping environments.

Plaza 66 continues to be a leading destination for tax-refund shopping, with high-value transactions in jewelry and other luxury goods driving overall sales growth.

At the same time, RT-Mart's Pingxingguan Road branch has become the first supermarket in Shanghai to offer the "refund-upon-purchase" service. By introducing Korean-language signage and other tailored services, the neighborhood supermarket has extended tax refund services into community retail, making tax-refund shopping more accessible.
