A special event for the 2025 Shanghai Shopping Festival was held on May 11 at the Yintai in77 shopping mall in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

Located close to each other, Anhui and Shanghai have developed strong ties over the years. As the national strategy for integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta region continues to deepen, the two regions have presided over increasing cooperation across various fields.

Launched in 2020, the Shanghai Shopping Festival has become one of China's most influential consumer promotion events. Since 2022, Anhui has also been running its own shopping campaign to boost local retail spending.

The special event on May 11 marked the first time that Anhui teamed up with the Shanghai Shopping Festival to host a dedicated promotional event. The aim was to help further integrate Anhui into the Yangtze River Delta market and to stimulate greater consumer interaction between the two areas.

The event showcased Anhui's latest innovations in the retail sector and offered shoppers a much wider range of high-quality and diverse products.

The venue featured 75 themed stands, along with promotional activities highlighting Anhui's quality export goods, time-honored brands, trending online products and selected items from across the Yangtze River Delta region.

Great food tastings and other interactive activities also contributed to a lively shopping atmosphere.
