From April 18 to 20, Nanxiang Ancient Town invites visitors to immerse themselves in the rich tea culture with a special event titled Tea Charm of Jiangnan, Rain Nourishing Nanxiang.

This celebration highlights the harmonious blend of tea scents associated with Guyu (Grain Rain), the last solar term in spring which falls on April 20 this year, alongside the cultural revitalization taking place in the ancient town.

The Twin Towers Market runs throughout the event and is divided into two sections. The Tea Food Zone offers cold brew teas, innovative tea cafes, and tea-related merchandise, while the Cultural and Antique Zone features tea utensils, fabric textiles, incense tools, and floral decorations.

Additionally, the Grain Rain Tea Market at Mingshi Residence (No 28 Gonghe Street) allows visitors to enjoy incense gatherings and traditional tea ceremonies.

The event also includes several special activities. On April 19 and 20, from 3 pm to 5 pm, the Grain Rain Tea Ceremony: Rain Nourishing the Heart with Tea invites participants to partake in tea ceremonies and enjoy tea tasting for 398 yuan ($54.55) per person.

Entertainment is also on the agenda, with a traditional Chinese show performance on April 18 at 4 pm in Tanyuan Garden, featuring traditional Chinese clothing and photo opportunities.

Moreover, a pop-up performance, scheduled for April 19 and 20 at 2 pm, 2:30 pm, 3 pm, and 3:30 pm, will take place at the town's tourist center. This performance will showcase student clubs from Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic, combining energetic cheerleading and melodious folk music to create a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity.
