Visitors first explored the opulence of the Piano Land, China's first State-owned luxury cruise ship that is owned by Astro Ocean. The ship houses 941 guest rooms across 13 decks and accommodates up to 1,880 passengers.

Following the opening of the Piano Land, the Adora Magic City opened its doors to visitors on Aug 16, with the MSC Bellissima to welcome tourists on Aug 24.

The cruise festival's appeal extends beyond the decks of the ships, offering a plethora of activities for attendees, from enchanting Huangpu River excursions to cruise-themed city walks.

Meanwhile, a series of cruise-themed activities are underway at the Global Harbor shopping center. Cruise companies such as Royal Caribbean Cruises, China Merchants Viking Cruises, and AIDA Cruises have joined forces to offer consumers "cruise plus" experience.

According to AIDA Cruises, two of the company's flagship vessels — the Adora Magic City and the Adora Mediterranea — have received a total of over 300,000 guests so far.

AIDA Cruises will introduce a maritime cultural journey that combines food and culture. From Sept 15, guests aboard the Adora Magic City and Adora Mediterranea will be able to savor seasonal cuisine and drinks, experience making traditional Chinese handicrafts, and try traditional exercises like tai chi.

Also, China's second domestically made large cruise is being built and set to be delivered by the end of 2026, with its name to be unveiled soon, according to AIDA Cruises.
