Jiading District

Jiading district, located in northwestern Shanghai with an area of 463 square kilometers, is an important comprehensive node of the Yangtze River Delta region on the Shanghai-Nanjing development axis.

Jinshan District

Jinshan district is located in the southwest of Shanghai, and spans an area of 613 square kilometers. It neighbours the East China Sea in the east, the Hangzhou Bay in the south, and Zhejiang province in the west.

Songjiang District

Songjiang district is located in the southwest of Shanghai with a total area of 604 square kilometers.

Qingpu District

Qingpu district, situated in the west of Shanghai and covering an area of 668.54 square kilometers, is one of the districts with the best natural ecology in the city and is renowned as "a glorious pearl in the upper reaches of the Huangpu River".

Fengxian District

Located in the south of Shanghai with an area of 733.38 square kilometers, Fengxian district is an important gateway to the west of the Lin-gang Special Area of Shanghai FTZ, a center in southern Shanghai and a dynamic new town in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Chongming District

Chongming district, located on the western coast of the Pacific Ocean with an area of 1,413 square kilometers, includes about 1/4 forest, 1/3 basic farmland and two core headwaters of Shanghai, making it a key strategic area for Shanghai’s sustainable development in the 21st century.
