As part of the 2025 Shanghai Shopping Festival — running from May 1 to late June — the city's Baoshan district has introduced five themed travel routes designed to create memorable, family-friendly consumer experiences.

Route 1

This route brings together modern commerce and riverside leisure, featuring destinations like Sea World — Shanghai's first cruise-themed waterfront commercial complex, located beside the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

Highlights include Powerlong Plaza and Baolehui Incity shopping malls, as well as the iconic Long Beach Observation Tower — located at the meeting point of the Yangtze and Huangpu rivers — where visitors can enjoy panoramic views.

Other stops include the Sihang Warehouse Battle Memorial and the Wusong Paotaiwan National Wetland Park. The cruise theme runs throughout, offering a glimpse into the Shanghai International Cruise Tourism Resort.

Route 2

Starting at the Gemdale Plaza shopping mall, this route weaves together historic charm and suburban resort experiences.

Visitors can stroll along Tingqian Street in Luodian Ancient Town, admire the solemn beauty of Baoshan Temple and unwind at Nordic New Town: Lake Malaren. Traditional festivals and local heritage activities make this a great route, where the old and new blend seamlessly.

Route 4

Focusing on modern lifestyles and industrial heritage, this route includes Wanda Plaza, Innovation Galaxy and Bridge Life shopping centers.

Key stops such as the Shanghai Ceramic Science & Technology Art Museum and Furnace Park — a former steel plant transformed into a public space — reveal how Baoshan is redefining urban life through art, industry and youth-oriented culture.
