Crystal Bridge, a major mixed-use development in the core commercial areas of Shanghai's Changning district, completed construction on Nov 21. With a total investment of over 8 billion yuan ($1.13 billion), the project introduces a diversified urban layout that integrates office, retail, and public spaces.

As one of the flagship initiatives under Changning's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the project was co-developed by US real estate company Tishman Speyer, New Changning Group, and Japan's Mitsubishi Estate, with US architecture firm NBBJ leading the overall planning.

A series of skybridges connect five Grade-A office towers with commercial areas, while design elements such as a geometric facade, elevated gardens, and an open-air theater shape a compact yet flexible business environment.

Crystal Bridge is making solid progress in both office and retail leasing. The office cluster focuses on serving enterprise engaged in the digital economy and international trade, attracting tenants including Chinese logistics company Lalamove's East China headquarters, several multinational trade organizations, and emerging commerce firms.

The retail section brings in a mix of dining, lifestyle, hobby, and social leisure brands, contributing to the continued upgrade of the Tianshan-Gubei commercial area.
