Halma establishes Asian headquarters in Shanghai
Halma China was certified as the Asian regional headquarters of UK life-saving technology behemoth Halma plc. This accolade highlights Shanghai's growing reputation as a prime location for international business operations.
"China and the Asia-Pacific region are crucial strategic markets and growth engines for Halma," said Aldous Wong, president of Halma Asia Pacific. "The continuous optimization of China's industrial structure and business climate provides us with vast market opportunities."
Since entering the Chinese market in 2006, Halma has contributed to the safety, environmental protection, and healthcare nationwide. The group has nearly 40 subsidiaries operating in the country. In the 2025 fiscal year, the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 14 percent of its global revenue.
Halma's decision to establish its regional headquarters in Shanghai is a testament to the city's role as a bridge between global resources and local innovation.
The company's new regional headquarters will enhance its ability to allocate resources, secure policy support, expand market reach, and foster talent exchange, further accelerating its growth in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
The new headquarters will also drive Halma's dual growth strategy of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, ensuring long-term and sustainable business development.
Halma plans to leverage Shanghai's dynamic business climate to enhance its local research, production, and manufacturing capabilities, providing tailored solutions to meet the needs of the Chinese market.
Put to use in Shanghai's Minhang district in 2023, Halma's Asia-Pacific integrated production and R&D base serves as a hub for collaboration in manufacturing, operations, and R&D among its 14 subsidiaries in China, accelerating localization efforts and fostering a cooperative innovation ecosystem.
