GHSP (Shanghai) Automotive Company Ltd, a foreign-invested company based in Anting town in Shanghai's Jiading district, has signed a cooperation agreement with the town government to expand production to further tap into the Chinese market.

Established in 1924, US company GHSP designs and manufactures advanced electronic and mechatronic systems that enhance vehicle performance and the user experience.

Over the years, the company has expanded its operations globally, serving customers around the world, including Chinese auto giant BYD Company Ltd.

GHSP plans to focus its production in Jiading to improve efficiency and reduce costs, anticipating reaching an output of about 470 million yuan ($67.75 million) in 2026 and 600 million yuan by 2028.

With over two decades of presence in the district, GHSP has built a strong reputation for quality, with products like its automotive shifting systems and smart pumps gaining popularity and reliability. This expansion is expected to help streamline production lines and increase capacity.
