Pininfarina, the iconic Italian design house known for its legendary automotive creations and innovative concepts, has set up its China headquarters in Shanghai, signifying its confidence in the Chinese market.

Pininfarina recently held an event in Shanghai celebrating the 95th anniversary of its founding and 15th anniversary of its establishment in China, showcasing its increasingly deep-rooted localization strategy in the Chinese market. During the event, it also announced the official establishment of its Chinese headquarters in Shanghai's Putuo district, marking a new phase in the company's development.

"The 30 years of cooperation have not been without challenges, but the support of the governments of China and Italy, as well as the foresight and mutual trust of entrepreneurs from both countries, have allowed us to thrive," said Li Hanqing, general manager of Pininfarina Shanghai.

This year, the company plans to further increase its investment in China and expand its presence in industry segments such as design and research and development centers. "We plan to achieve revenue growth of hundreds of millions of yuan in the next three years," Li said.

In stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment, Putuo district has been making continuous efforts to support enterprises' development through practical measures and concrete efforts.

Since the beginning of this year, the district has stepped up efforts to attract overseas investment by strengthening policy support. To date, a total of 40 foreign companies have set up their headquarters in Putuo.
