US aircraft engine supplier GE Aerospace recently had its Putuo-based company certified as its regional headquarters, according to the Putuo district commission of commerce.

GE Aerospace is a world-leading manufacturer of engines, components, and integrated systems for civil, commercial and business, and general aircraft.

Established in Putuo district in 2018, the corporation's China base has been actively cooperating with multiple airlines and taking bold steps to digitalize the Chinese aviation industry.

The Putuo district commission of commerce stated that this year, the district has welcomed three new regional headquarters of multinational companies, bringing the total number of foreign-funded headquarters to 41.

Many foreign-funded enterprises based in Putuo have achieved high-quality development by taking advantage of the business opportunities in the district, accelerating the aggregation of the headquarters economy and injecting new vitality into the district's economic development.

Looking ahead, the commission stated that Putuo will steadfastly expand high-standard opening-up, continuously optimize its business environment, and fully support foreign-funded enterprises in expanding their presence in Shanghai.
