Putuo advances collaboration to build regional IC development ecosystem
Shanghai's Putuo district is seizing the opportunity presented by the development of the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, which involves Putuo and eight cities in East China's Jiangsu province, to promote the synergized growth of the integrated circuit industry, focusing on IC design and R&D.
At a recent conference on IC innovation along the innovation belt, Putuo launched several initiatives, including the formation of alliances and the release of development guidelines, to promote cross-regional resource integration and collaborative upgrading of the industry.
One of the key initiatives is the establishment of the collaborative innovation alliance of IC industrial and supply chains along the innovation belt, a move that aims to systematically integrate the industrial resources of the region into a one-stop service platform.
The alliance will serve as a bridge and hub, creating dynamic "industry maps" and "demand lists" to precisely match technology, production capacity, and talent, eliminating bottlenecks in technology transfer.
The alliance will also explore sustainable, long-term cooperation mechanisms, specifying matters such as intellectual property sharing rules, cross-regional project tax-sharing methods, and joint investment funds, to balance the interests involved in the collaborations.
The release of the IC industry collaborative development guide along the innovation belt for Putuo district and Nantong City at the conference helps remove regional cooperation barriers and promote deep integration of industry, academia, research and application of the sector.
This guide will gradually expand across the cities of the innovation belt, eventually forming a series of "one city, one guide" outcomes.
