The Republic of Moldova will have its first national pavilion at the ninth China International Import Expo. The ninth CIIE is scheduled to take place in Shanghai in November 2026.

Moldova, in Eastern Europe, has a long wine-making tradition. Its favorable terroir and distinctive grape varieties give Moldovan wines their unique flavor. The ninth CIIE Country Exhibition will showcase Moldovan wines, fruit, and other specialty agri-food products.

Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi said the CIIE is an important way for countries to connect with Chinese importers, distributors, and consumers. He said it certainly presents a great opportunity for Moldova.
