Audiences are in for an unforgettable experience, with the acclaimed contemporary dance production Theatre of Dreams set to make its Asian premiere at the Shanghai International Dance Center Grand Theater in March.

The performance, a collaboration between over 20 prestigious international arts institutions, will be the only stop in China.

Theatre of Dreams has been created by renowned choreographer Hofesh Shechter — celebrated for his intricate and dynamic choreography that challenges dancers and captivates audiences.

After a successful run in Europe, the production has received widespread praise, with many calling it "Shechter's best work to date".

Hofesh Shechter is not only widely said to be an exceptional choreographer, but is also a talented musician. In Theatre of Dreams, he blends jazz blues, the Bossa Nova, and other styles, with a live three-piece band accompanying the dancers on stage.

The interplay of music and movement is said to transport audiences into a dreamlike musical world, evoking both energy and emotion.
