FAQs for overseas professional visitor registration for the 9th CIIE

The following FAQs are based on the registration process on the CIIE official website. Procedures on the CIIE app and WeChat mini program may vary.

1. Who are the overseas professionals at the 9th China International Import Expo?

A: Overseas professionals at the 9th China International Import Expo refer to industry insiders from enterprises, government organs, public institutions, social organizations, and other entities outside the Chinese mainland.

2. How can an overseas professional sign up to visit the 9th CIIE?

A: Please sign up online by visiting the CIIE official website, selecting Business Exhibition — Visitor — Registration, and filling in the information of the organization and all personnel who will attend, visit or make purchases at the CIIE. Applicants may be admitted to the 9th CIIE only after their information has been approved and payment has been completed.

After registration, applicants can visit the website and go to Business Exhibition — Visitor — Sign In to review and modify the information they have submitted, and check review progress, including information review, certificate production, and certificate issuance.

All overseas professionals must register online in advance, as on-site regular registration for the 9th CIIE will not be allowed.

3. Does registration automatically grant admission?

A: After applicants successfully register and submit the required organization and personnel information, the information will be reviewed. If the information is approved and payment is completed, the certificate production and issuance process will begin. After obtaining their certificates, they may visit the exhibition in accordance with relevant requirements.

4. How can applicants check their registration progress?

A: After registration, review results will be sent to the e-mail address used during registration.

Applicants can also check the review progress by logging in to the website and going to Business Exhibition — Visitor — Sign In.

5. How do approved applicants get their admission certificates?

A: Applicants may choose either express delivery, which is only available for addresses in the Chinese mainland, or on-site collection to receive their certificates.

If a delivery address in the Chinese mainland is available, express delivery is recommended, and no additional express fee is required. For this option, please provide a delivery address that will remain valid for six months. After the certificates are sent, applicants can log in to the official website and go to Business Exhibition — Visitor — Sign In to view delivery information.

For those who choose on-site collection, the time and place for collecting the certificates will be provided by email and through the registration system.

6. Can the personnel information for admission be changed or modified after registration?

A: When registering, applicants must fill in their organization and personnel information before entering the review process. Personnel information can be modified before submission, and additional personnel information can be added before the registration deadline. Personnel information cannot be modified after submission.

7. What are the visit dates for overseas professional visitors?

A: Nov 6 to 10, 2026.

8. How can foreign nationals get invitation letters?

A: After completing the CIIE registration process, foreign nationals can log in to the official website and go to Application for Personnel Certificates — Apply Invitation Letter. Click the section to apply for invitation letters. Once the application is approved, applicants can download the invitation letters.

9. Do visitors need to pay for the certificates?

A: Yes. The fees are as follows:

Nov 6–10: 200 yuan ($29.50) per certificate

Nov 8–10: 100 yuan per certificate

10. How can visitors pay the certificate fee?

A: There are two payment methods:

(1) QR code payment, including UnionPay, WeChat Pay, and Alipay;

(2) Payment by cards issued by five major international card organizations — Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Diners Club, and China UnionPay, as well as major e-wallets, including but not limited to Apple Pay and Google Pay.

11. When are the registration and payment deadlines?

A: The registration deadline is 12 midnight on Oct 20, 2026 (Beijing Time). The payment deadline is 12 midnight on Oct 23, 2026 (Beijing Time).

12. If an applicant has paid for a certificate but cannot participate in the expo, can the certificate be refunded? Or can someone else be admitted instead?

A: After payment, the personnel information review procedures will begin. If the personnel review is not approved, the applicant can log in to the official website and go to Business Exhibition — Visitor — Sign In to apply for a refund according to the email instructions. Any exchange gains or losses caused by exchange rate fluctuations during the refund process shall be borne by the applicant. Once the review is approved, the certificate production process will automatically begin. After that, no refund or personnel replacement will be allowed.
