The recent "Bread Wander" event, hosted at the Bund Finance Center's Fengjing Road market, has captured the hearts and appetites of residents and tourists alike.

Featuring over 80 popular bakeries from across the country, this gathering has ignited a newfound enthusiasm for artisanal bread and its diverse offerings.

The event, held from March 16 to 17, will continue during the upcoming weekend from March 23 to 24. The response from attendees has surpassed expectations, with many vendors reporting a swift sell-out of their bread varieties within a remarkably short timeframe.

One vendor was quite surprised,"This is the charm of Shanghai, which can attract well-known bread brands from all over the world and across the country to gather. Many breads were sold out within three hours."

Beyond the delectable array of freshly baked bread and expertly brewed coffee, the event also showcased a range of peripheral products, including bread-shaped phone holders, which have resonated with numerous attendees.

In a testament to the growing allure of bread in Shanghai, "The Best Place to Eat" (Shanghai Qu Na Chi), a prominent WeChat official account that curates culinary experiences in the city, revealed a specially crafted "bread citywalk route" on March 18. This guide introduces 11 bakeries along the 1.2-kilometer-long Panyu Road, each renowned for its unique and distinctive offerings, such as Little RoLi, Bake No Title, and Luneurs.
