Come and enjoy a cup of iced coffee in the spring air at the Jing'an World Coffee Culture Festival if you are spending the May Day holiday in Shanghai.

Organized at the north square of HKRI Taikoo Hui by the busy Nanjing Road West from April 29 to May 4, the festival features introduction of new single-origin coffee, pour-over coffee, dripping coffee and so on, as well as live concerts, cross-over art shows and other events.

Hosted by the culture and tourism administration of Jing'an district, the festival is held at two branch locations for the first time this year, at the CITIC Square and Daning Music Square.

The local environmental administration has launched a "no waste" campaign at the festival, collecting coffee residue and used cups for recycling.

An integrated part of the festival, a coffee-themed exhibition is underway at Tianmu Road Library in Jing'an district, from April 23 to May 12, featuring vintage coffee ware from all over the world, posters and books about cafes in Shanghai.

The organizers expect the festival to receive 200,000 visitors at the main venue, with the sales totaling more than 2 million yuan.
