As the transition from spring to summer unfolds, irises begin to bloom, heralding the imminent arrival of the second iris culture festival at Shanghai Gongqing Forest Park in Yangpu district.

Running from May 8 to 28, the festival promises to be a celebration of nature's beauty, artistry, and cultural richness, offering a unique and enchanting experience for all who attend.

Covering an area of approximately 5000 square meters within the park, the festival showcases over 60 varieties of irises, including Dutch irises, Louisiana irises, iris ensata, and Siberian irises.

A standout feature of this year's festival is the introduction of the best viewing route, where visitors can immerse themselves in the close-up beauty of the flowers, appreciating their elegance, vibrancy, and natural allure along the designated path.

During the festival, an educational park tour will be conducted, allowing visitors to delve into the growth environment and cultural significance of the irises within the park under the guidance of experts. Additionally, an interactive painting activity will provide an opportunity for visitors to create artistic masterpieces by drawing their envisioned irises.

The "Romantic Iris" themed competition encourages photography enthusiasts to capture the breathtaking moments when irises bloom in the park.
