Banana Climbing launches second Shanghai venue in Changning
Banana Climbing has opened its second venue in Shanghai at the Changning C Park Haisu. Covering 1,000 square meters, this new venue features the city's largest bouldering wall.
Sport climbing made its official debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with three thrilling disciplines: speed climbing, lead climbing, and bouldering. This facility focuses on bouldering — a rope-free climbing sport that tests strength, technique, and control.
The venue provides over 120 climbing routes, catering to both beginners and more experienced climbers looking for a challenge. A standout feature is the "stone ridge" wall on the second floor, inspired by Inner Mongolia's volcanic rock formations. The wall's design uses brown rock panels to mimic natural textures, creating an immersive climbing experience.
To keep the experience fresh, a team of route setters will update the courses monthly, ensuring ongoing excitement for visitors. The facility also includes a large LED smart climbing board with over 20,000 routes from around the world, offering climbers endless opportunities to test their skills.
