Sport climbing is often likened to "ballet on a cliff", offering an opportunity for people to challenge themselves and push beyond their limits.
Sport climbing has a lot of benefits.
It requires strength, agility, coordination, and endurance. By tackling different routes, climbers can work out muscles in different areas and enhance joint flexibility.
Sport climbing can also help alleviate stress and anxiety. When observing the route and concentrating on climbing, people can set aside life's trivial matters and relax. Additionally, every time you reach the peak you can bask in your achievement, thus boosting self-confidence.
Want to try it yourself? Don't worry. Here is a beginner's guide to sport climbing.

During climb

Ensure your harness is worn correctly and double-check that the buckle is fastened. When reaching up with arms extended, keep your body as close to the rock face as possible. Use leg strength to propel your body upwards, ensuring minimal side-to-side movement.
Descending

When descending, release both hands, keep both feet slightly wider than your shoulders' width, lightly kick off the wall during the descent, and avoid gripping the holds with your hands.
Ensure that the area below you is clear, and after both feet touch the ground, land smoothly with hands crossed in front of the chest. Do not use your arms to support yourself, and avoid forcefully standing up using your knees.
