Amap — a leading provider of digital map, navigation and real-time traffic information in China — has launched its first English map of the country, tailored for international users.

It's now available for download on overseas app stores.

International visitors to China have long faced navigation challenges due to language barriers and the lack of customized map services. Amap's new English version aims to resolve these issues by providing accurate geographic depictions and English labels for key locations such as tourist attractions, restaurants and hotels.

The English version also includes advanced functionalities such as lane-level navigation and traffic light countdowns, making travel even more seamless.

With the implementation of measures to facilitate inbound tourism services — including improvements in visas, customs clearance, payments, accommodation and transportation — the number of international tourists exploring China is on the rise.
