Service station opens to help new immigrants settle into Shanghai
The Changshou Subdistrict Immigrants' Integration Service Station recently began operations at a community service center in the Hongshoufang in Putuo district of Shanghai.
This facility is designed to assist foreign nationals working at nearby office buildings and industrial parks, providing entry and exit policy consultations, accommodation registration guidance, and more, serving as a convenient platform for expatriates who want to better understand local policies and better integrate into the community.
This initiative extends services for foreign nationals from traditional service windows to commercial buildings, catering to the area's high concentration of businesses and international talent.
During its trial run, the service station has already attracted numerous foreign visitors seeking consultations. The station offers six main services: accommodation registration consultation for foreigners, visa and permanent residence policy consultation, legal education, cultural exchange, entrepreneurship guidance, and daily life services.
The service center in Hongshoufang, transformed from an old Shikumen building, spans over 1,000 square meters and focuses on areas like Party building, cultural empowerment, business support, and talent services.
The establishment of the Changshou Subdistrict Immigrants' Integration Service Station fills a gap in services for foreign nationals in the Changshou subdistrict commercial building area. It complements existing services for white-collar workers and talent, providing refined, convenient services for various groups, from local residents and white-collar workers to new employment groups and foreign talent in Shanghai.
