Global toy and entertainment giant Hasbro launched the My Little Pony Ponyverse Festival on July 18 at TX Huaihai Youth Energy Center, one of Shanghai's trendiest landmarks on Middle Huaihai Road.

The event celebrates the beloved franchise's 42-year journey, offering fans of all ages a magical, cross-generational experience.

Since the debut of its first My Little Pony toy in 1983, the brand has evolved into a global phenomenon, driven by its hit animated series and ever-evolving characters. From nostalgic retro ponies to the iconic fourth-generation Friendship is Magic series, and the inclusive, modern fifth-generation A New Generation, My Little Pony continues to capture hearts worldwide.

For the first time, fans can experience all three generations of ponies coming together under one roof, celebrating friendship, imagination, and creativity in the brand-new Ponyverse.

The opening ceremony also featured thrilling brand collaborations, such as co-branded Baby-G watches with Casio, stylish accessories with Kader and Social Talent, and a summer fashion collection with Anta Kids.

New collectibles and lifestyle products were also unveiled, such as trading cards, designer toys, plush blind boxes, and building sets.

Visitors can enjoy themed drinks from brands like Watsons and explore a special dental care product from Angelalign, a Shanghai-based provider of invisible orthodontic treatment.

The venue features immersive art installations, with two standout highlights: a plush sculpture by artist Vincent Chen and a dazzling "friendship rainbow bridge" by artist Peiling Liu — both popular photo spots for guests.

Running until Aug 17, the My Little Pony Ponyverse Festival is more than just a tribute to 40 years of pony magic; it's a joyful celebration of friendship that keeps evolving. With the Year of the Horse approaching in 2026, fans can look forward to even more surprises.
