Shanghai's Bund Finance Center is set to light up this Qixi Festival, Chinese Valentine's Day, on Aug 29, with a series of romantic experiences under the theme Heartbeat @ the Bund. From art and coffee to playful surprises, the riverside destination is creating special moments for lovebirds this summer.

One highlight is the Tom and Jerry-themed Qixi experience on the 5th-floor terrace of BFC South. The beloved cartoon duo appears in romantic costumes, with heart-shaped balloons floating against the city skyline, creating a dreamy photo spot.

The fun continues at the themed cafe and pop-up store, which offer special Qixi couples' menus, themed desserts, and playful merchandise. Guests who share their terrace photos on Xiaohongshu, also known as RedNote, can receive a limited-edition heart-shaped balloon. A lucky draw will also be held, with prizes ranging from coupons to exclusive Tom and Jerry cushions.

Coffee lovers won't be left out. From now until Aug 31st, BFC will host the first Huchi Coffee Festival, featuring award-winning latte art, viral coffee creations, and a lively coffee market. The festival will also bring back its popular pet matchmaking corner, where pet owners can meet and mingle with fellow animal lovers.

Adding an artistic touch, a Qixi-themed art exhibition runs through Sept 29 on the first floor of BFC South. The exhibition transforms the legend of the Qixi magpie bridge into a colorful installation titled the "bridge of love", symbolizing layers of warmth, romance, and imagination.
