Putuo district gears up for National Day, Mid-Autumn festivities
During this year's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Shanghai's Putuo district will transform its commercial hubs into vibrant destinations of entertainment, shopping, and culture, offering residents and visitors a benchmark celebration of urban consumption.
At TOP Central Park, Putuo will join hands with Shanghai Media Group to stage a music carnival on Oct 5 and 6, blending electronic music, live bands, ACGN culture, camper vans, bazaars, and camping to create a fresh nighttime experience in the heart of the city.
Zhenru Unipark Max shopping center will stage three autumn and winter fashion shows as well as an auto light performance. Seasonal ginkgo-themed installations will be unveiled, while the outdoor economy will be encouraged with dining and leisure options. The venue will also host the Hobby Expo China mini show, one of the largest integrated model exhibitions in the world.
At Global Harbor mall, the Putuo session of the Shanghai International Light Festival will offer visitors a space to enjoy the spectacle. The venue is also collaborating with Jinshan district administration of culture and tourism to introduce a wheat field music zone and fresh market, while its 52nd floor will host the launch of an exclusive cultural tourism package.
At the same time, the Suzhou Creek Half Marathon Park is serving as one of the sites for "Searching for Chou Chou", a citywide event featuring pop star Jay Chou's official cartoon character. Pink decorations along the riverside create a striking contrast with the park's greenery and have become a popular backdrop for photos. To enhance the festive mood, the Bar Bar Tribe outdoor food market will offer visitors a wide range of culinary experiences.
