Shanghai's cocktail scene is hitting a new high this weekend as the inaugural SIP (Share · Inspire · Pioneer) cocktail festival, hosted by global spirits group Pernod Ricard, takes over the Bund Finance Center from Oct 10 to 12.

More than 30 leading bars from across China and other parts of Asia will showcase their signature creations at the historic Bund, offering cocktail enthusiasts a one-stop destination for tasting and discovery.

For the first time, 14 bars ranked among Asia's 50 Best Bars will come together in Shanghai. The lineup includes domestic favorites such as Hope & Sesame, CMYK, and COA, as well as international standouts like Zest and Alice from Seoul, Bar Libre from Tokyo, and celebrated bars from Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

A highlight not to be missed is COA's eco-minded cocktail, a chocolate-forward drink rimmed with powdered aged Ecuadorian cocoa pods which are normally discarded. The pods are dried and powdered to add a subtle aroma and texture, giving the cocktail a sustainable twist.

In addition, Pernod Ricard has set up interactive bars and experimental flavor zones, partnering with local intangible cultural heritage craftsmen to create a cross-cultural feast in motion.

"We hope this festival showcases Asia's leading creativity and flavor to China's cocktail lovers and professionals," said Jerome Cottin-Bizonne, CEO of Pernod Ricard China.

"It's also about enriching Shanghai's diverse night economy and energizing the industry with our strong brand portfolio," he added.
