As the Chinese New Year approaches, Global Harbor mall in Shanghai has rolled out a seasonal shopping festival at its year-round Expo Club, a marketplace inspired by the China International Import Expo. The event runs until March 9.

Drawing on the spillover effect of CIIE, Expo Club brings together thousands of imported products from more than 30 countries, offering consumers convenient access to everyday international goods ahead of the holiday rush.

According to Sun Heyang, market manager of Expo Club, the goal is to create a one-stop destination where residents and visitors can browse and purchase global products without leaving the city.

The appeal is already evident among shoppers. Li Xia, a local resident, said she picked up Australian honey for her parents, imported milk for her child, and a bottle of French red wine for the family's Chinese New Year's Eve dinner. "It's easy to find everything in one place," she said.

To add a festive touch, the market has introduced an "international red envelope blind box" activity, featuring envelopes that contain currencies from dozens of countries. The initiative is designed to convey New Year wishes symbolizing good fortune from around the world.
