The 2026 Jing'an Huazhao Festival opened at Daning Park on March 21, with around one million tulips now in bloom across the park. This year, the floral display is complemented by an Italian food festival at the Roman Square, running through March 29.

A total of 26 stalls have been set up, bringing together a selection of Shanghai's well-known restaurants and local brands. Freshly made pizzas are prepared and baked on site, alongside pasta, Italian coffee, and a selection of small bites. Classic Chinese snacks are also part of the lineup, together with a number of East-meets-West creations that blend familiar local flavors with Italian ingredients.

One visitor said he had originally come to see the flowers but ended up staying for the food, noting that enjoying pizza among the tulips made for a memorable spring outing.
