Yangpu unveils tech-driven lineup for Shanghai Shopping Festival
The seventh Shanghai Shopping Festival is in full swing following its launch on April 30, with Yangpu district hosting a series of themed events centered on technology, youth culture, and sports-related shopping experiences.
One of the district's key opening programs, the "AI Tech Trendy Products Season", has opened at Wujiaochang Square and will run through June 4. Focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, smart wearables, and drone simulation technology, the event connects research and development, industrial supply chains, and consumer experiences, making cutting-edge technologies from the laboratory part of everyday life.
The event features a diverse lineup of technology companies and newly launched products. Shanghai-based company ULS Robotics is presenting a consumer exoskeleton robot equipped with its Float360 floating hip joint structure and an AI-powered gait learning system, bringing industrial technology into everyday civilian use.
Bitsrealm, a 3D real-time interactive space platform, is showcasing China's first domestically developed FPV drone simulator, designed to fill a gap in premium local flight simulation software. Suning.com is displaying smart home appliances, AR glasses, and other intelligent lifestyle products. Beauty brands, including Vidal Sassoon, are also introducing upgraded product experiences driven by research and development.
At the same time, companies including SenseTime are presenting their latest AI-powered hardware and interactive products.
Yangpu's festival activities in May will also focus on youth-oriented consumption, combining live music performances, trendy markets, and camping-themed experiences to create social spaces for younger visitors.
In June, the district will shift its focus to sports-related consumption with a World Cup carnival featuring match screenings, food, and sports activities, aiming to create new nighttime consumption scenarios around major sporting events.
