As the seventh Shanghai Shopping Festival continues across the city, children's wear brand Balabala has launched its "Living Your Passion" pop-up event at the Xuhui Riverside, running from April 24 to May 17.

Covering more than 2,500 square meters, the child-friendly space features barrier-free walkways, family rest areas, and interactive installations designed for younger children, making the waterfront more welcoming for families.

A total of 10 themed zones have been set up across the site, spanning sports, leisure, creative activities, technology, and shopping. Highlights include a climbing wall for children, a riverside running area for families, camping and theater spaces, and interactive zones featuring Balabala's original cast of characters, making their first offline public appearance. Popular licensed characters, including My Little Pony and PAW Patrol, also appear at the event.

The pop-up showcases nearly 100 new products across children's clothing, shoes, outdoor goods, lifestyle products, and creative merchandise. Visitors can take part in DIY activities such as patch embroidery, pet clothing customization, and shoe decoration.

Public welfare activities are also included, with a charity market encouraging families to donate unused toys, children's picture books, and handmade items.
