Jing An Kerry Centre and Pudong Kerry Parkside have teamed up with Paramount and Nickelodeon to launch "The Fish-tastic Summer", featuring the China debut of the Bikini Bottom Buddies exhibition.

Rather than focusing on SpongeBob and Patrick, the exhibition shines a spotlight on the quirky fish that populate the background of SpongeBob SquarePants, characters that often steal the show.

A total of 73 Bikini Bottom residents are featured across two venues. While the main characters appear at both locations, all other character designs and scenes are exclusive to one venue or the other.

At Pudong Kerry Parkside, the "Beach Carnival" theme transforms the space into a lively seaside playground.

In the outdoor atrium, a large sandcastle installation featuring oversized figures of SpongeBob and Patrick recreates a vibrant beach holiday scene. Around them, Bikini Bottom residents enjoy classic summer activities, including playing volleyball, building sandcastles, and sunbathing.

The B1 atrium features interactive games, including ring toss and other throwing challenges, designed to recreate iconic moments from the series in a family-friendly, hands-on setting.

A pop-up store runs alongside the exhibition, offering more than 300 types of merchandise, including over 200 limited-edition items debuting at the event. One of the highlights is the popular DIY plush doll collection, which allow visitors to mix and match clothing, hairstyles, and accessories. Other offerings include five blind-box series featuring fridge magnets, metal badges, keychains, and other collectibles.
