Pudong New Area is marking the 2026 Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season with pop-ups, family-friendly attractions, dining events, nighttime activities, and shopping promotions across its major commercial destinations.

Summer pop-ups and installations

Major shopping destinations across Pudong have introduced summer-themed attractions.

At Taikoo Li Qiantan, the "Let's Play Well" summer campaign features a retro pop-up inspired by Bright Dairy's classic ice cream treats and the White Rabbit "Sweetfun Pool" installation, which showcases the candy brand's signature red, blue, and white color scheme and creates a playful poolside summer scene.

Florentia Village Shanghai has introduced a summer campaign inspired by the lemon terraces in southern Italy. The program also includes freestyle soccer performances, live music, and outdoor film screenings.

At Shanghai IFC Mall, visitors can explore a themed garden inspired by The Little Prince.

Kerry Parkside is hosting the national debut of the Bikini Bottom Buddies exhibition. Rather than focusing on SpongeBob and Patrick, the exhibition spotlights the quirky background fish from SpongeBob SquarePants, the colorful characters that often steal the show.

Family fun

Several shopping malls in the district are offering family-friendly activities during the summer holiday.

L+Mall's two-month "Summer Wonder Land" features an outdoor water playground and an indoor AI activity zone. Children can enjoy water slides, climbing structures, and interactive equipment with robotic arms, robot dogs, and drones.

At L+City, the national debut of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie exhibition runs through Sept 1. Based on the upcoming animated film, the immersive exhibition features a 600-square-meter adventure zone with volcanoes, swamps, and archaeological sites, along with themed pop-up stores and character meet-and-greet sessions on select weekends.

Dining and evening events

As the host district for the Global Taste in Shanghai: Asian Flavors Season, Pudong will continue to host dining events and publish weekly restaurant recommendations.

Summer evening activities across the district include beer markets, outdoor film screenings, floating cinemas, and live music performances.

Shopping deals and rewards

Several shopping destinations are offering promotions linked to exhibitions and cultural attractions.

Taikoo Li Qiantan is offering exclusive promotions to visitors holding tickets for selected exhibitions at the Museum of Art Pudong and the China Art Museum, including Giorgio Morandi: Solo and Jean Nouvel: Without the Artist, Architecture Disappears.

Kerry Parkside has introduced a stamp collection activity linked to its Bikini Bottom Buddies exhibition. Visitors who collect stamps at designated locations can redeem limited-edition gifts.
