Shanghai Museum hosts Americas-themed night market
Shanghai Museum is hosting an Americas-themed food night market in conjunction with its exhibition On Top of the World Tree: Ancient Civilizations of the Americas.
The market features 14 food stalls showcasing a mix of time-honored local brands and popular eateries. Nearly all offerings reflect the Americas theme.
Its decor draws inspiration from the ancient civilizations of the Americas, with elements such as stone carvings and rainforest vines creating an immersive atmosphere that complements the exhibition inside the museum.
One of the standout offerings at the market is a new savory meat mooncake from Guang Ming Cun, a time-honored brand known for its traditional pastries.
Inspired by Brazilian barbecue, the mooncake features roasted meat infused with a special sauce, all tucked into a flaky pastry crust. The packaging features warm yellow and dark green tones and is adorned with illustrations of colorful parrots, while retaining the brand's traditional visual elements.
Other offerings include cornbread, a corn silk drink, Mexican tacos, grilled meat, cactus juice, and fruit beverages.
