Cocktail festival returns to Shanghai with global flavors
The SIP (Share, Inspire, Pioneer) Cocktail Festival, organized by Pernod Ricard China, is returning to Shanghai for its second edition. The festival will run from Aug 28 to 30 at the North Square of the West Bund Dome Art Center.
This year's festival, themed "SIP Cocktail Wonderland", will feature a broader range of flavors, a more open setting, and immersive experiences. More than 40 leading bars from China and abroad will participate, offering visitors the chance to explore cocktail creations inspired by diverse cultures and regions.
The festival venue will be nine times the size of last year's. In addition to the three-day festival, a "citywide flavor journey" will link a wider range of cocktail experiences across Shanghai.
The festival will feature an expanded bar lineup, extending beyond Asia's 50 Best Bars to include venues on the World's 50 Best Bars list. Participating bars will hail from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa. They include Bar Leone from Hong Kong, Sips from Barcelona, Bar Nouveau from Paris, and renowned bars from London and Johannesburg. Other participants include Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou, Zest from Seoul, and Bar US from Bangkok, as well as bars from Singapore and Shanghai featured on Asia's 50 Best Bars list.
The festival will offer more than a traditional cocktail event, blending cocktails with art and creative experiences. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a variety of cocktails while watching bartenders demonstrate their techniques.
Reservations must be made through the Pernod Ricard SIP WeChat mini program before attending the festival. Entry is available until 4 pm each day. Tickets are limited, sold separately by date, and available until sold out. Once inside, visitors may re-enter the same day with their wristbands.
