The Pop Land carnival tour is underway in Shanghai, featuring activities at two major landmarks.

The Shanghai stop began on Aug 31 and will run through Nov 1, with activities at the Oriental Pearl Tower in Pudong New Area and Shanghai No 1 Department Store in Huangpu district. The opening ceremony was held on Sept 4 at the Oriental Pearl Tower's outdoor plaza.

The tour follows Labubu's adventure with a mysterious treasure map. At the Oriental Pearl Tower, visitors can try nine interactive games in a carnival area beside the tower.

Pop Bakery, a dessert brand under Pop Mart, is also hosting a limited-time pop-up at the Oriental Pearl Tower, offering character-themed ice cream, cookies, and other desserts.

At the nearby Oriental Riverside Hotel Shanghai (Shanghai International Convention Center), Pop Bakery is offering, for a limited time, Hair Salon-themed cakes decorated to resemble hairstyles and an exclusive afternoon tea set.

The Oriental Pearl Tower is also offering combination tickets that pair the carnival tour with visits to the Shanghai Urban History and Development Museum, buffet dining, or a hotel stay.

From Sept 15 to Oct 15, the tower's outdoor plaza will host a market featuring more than 10 brands, including time-honored labels and popular fashion brands.

At Shanghai No 1 Department Store, the tour takes the form of an immersive walk-through experience, with themed displays and photo spots arranged along Liuhe Road and the surrounding area. Visitors can also take part in four interactive games, with prizes ranging from Labubu plush cushions shaped like corn and fried shrimp to plush buckets, PVC charms, and tin badges.
