Lego Bloom Exhibition opens in Shanghai
The Lego Bloom Exhibition at Tank Shanghai in Xuhui district explores the creative potential of Lego bricks in everyday life and public spaces. Through art installations, collaborative works, lifestyle displays, and interactive building activities, the exhibition showcases how Lego can inspire creativity. It features three themed areas: Lego Botanical Wave, Where Blooms Begin, and Bloom Gallery.
Lego Botanical Wave
One of the main outdoor installations, the Lego Botanical Wave features more than 380,000 Lego flowers. Flowing out of one of Tank Shanghai's oil tanks, the installation measures 30 meters in length and covers 800 square meters. It transforms individual Lego flowers into a large-scale display.
Where Blooms Begin
Inside the oil tank, Where Blooms Begin presents 18 installations created by artists from different fields. These works creatively combine Lego botanical elements with diverse materials such as metal, textiles, and mirrors.
Visitors can also experience an immersive space with a 360-degree wraparound screen. They can build their own Lego botanical creations and scan them to add their designs to a digital floral display.
Bloom Gallery
Located on the outdoor steps, the Bloom Gallery features 18 completed Lego botanical creations displayed in everyday settings, offering ideas for incorporating Lego flowers into home decor and leisure spaces.
A pop-up store offers a selection of popular Lego botanical sets. Visitors can browse through the collection and purchase sets to take home.
