Shanghai has unveiled the latest editions of its "Blue Booklets" legal service series to strengthen its position as a global business hub.
These guides, crafted by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice in collaboration with various government agencies, are designed to help businesses navigate the city's legal landscape.
The series includes two key English-language publications: Lawyers' Interpretation of Policies and Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Optimizing Doing Business Environment and International Trade and Dispute Resolution.

Improving business environment
The new edition of Lawyers' Interpretation of Policies and Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Optimizing Doing Business Environment aligns with the city's action plan 8.0 on optimizing the business environment. This initiative is focused on creating a stable, fair, transparent, and predictable environment for enterprises.
The guide covers 10 critical areas, including market entry, business premises, international trade, dispute resolution, taxation, and labor employment, offering detailed interpretations of the latest policies.
Supporting international trade
International Trade and Dispute Resolution has been expanded to include a new section on preemptive and ongoing risk management in international trade.
The guide also highlights Shanghai's latest advancements in dispute resolution, featuring introductions to the newly established Shanghai International Commercial Court, the Shanghai Arbitration Association, the Shanghai Oriental Foreign Law Discerning Center, and a directory of overseas service points for Shanghai law firms.
