Dragon Dance Festival to welcome God of Wealth in Shanghai

A Dragon Dance Festival will be held on Feb 14 at Global Harbor, a shopping mall in Shanghai's Putuo district, to celebrate the arrival of the God of Wealth, a traditional Chinese deity who brings fortune and prosperity.
The festival will feature a spectacular dragon dance performance accompanied by drums and gongs. The audience can watch and join the festive atmosphere and pray for a prosperous and successful New Year.
The dragon dance is a folk art that originated in ancient China and is performed during festivals and celebrations, especially the Chinese New Year, to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck.
