A Chinese New Year couplet-making activity will be held at the Global Harbor shopping center in the Putuo district of Shanghai from Feb 10 to Feb 16.

The activity, which invites people to make festive couplets with brushes and ink under the guidance of experts, aims to offer a chance for the public to experience the Chinese cultural tradition.

Chinese New Year couplets, also known as Spring Festival couplets, are pairs of poetic lines that express good wishes for the New Year, using red paper and then pasted on doors or walls.
