Everything you need to know about latest consumption coupons in Shanghai
Shanghai will continue rolling out its service consumption coupons this year, focusing on four key sectors: Dining, tourism, cinema and sports.

Below is a comprehensive guide to the different types of coupons available, their distribution schedules and how to use them.
Dining coupons
Dining coupons are available in three denominations:
- 90 yuan ($12.32) coupon: Available when dining expenses exceed 300 yuan.
- 180 yuan coupon: Available when dining expenses exceed 500 yuan.
- 400 yuan coupon: Available when dining expenses exceed 1,000 yuan.
These dining coupons will be distributed through the following platforms:
- Cloud QuickPass (a mobile payment tool provided by China UnionPay)
- Alipay
- WeChat Pay
Consumers will be selected via an online registration and lottery system.

Tourism coupons
Accommodation coupons:
- 300 yuan minimum spend: 90 yuan discount
- 600 yuan minimum spend: 180 yuan discount
- 900 yuan minimum spend: 270 yuan discount
- 1,200 yuan minimum spend: 360 yuan discount
Tourist attraction coupons: Available for various tourist attractions and recreational areas, with the following rules:
- 30 yuan minimum spend: 15 yuan discount
- 50 yuan minimum spend: 25 yuan discount
- 100 yuan minimum spend: 50 yuan discount
- 150 yuan minimum spend: 75 yuan discount
These tourism coupons will also be distributed through Cloud QuickPass, Alipay and WeChat Pay, via an online registration and lottery system. Consumers selected in the lottery will be notified.

Registration period: Feb 22 to 24
Lottery drawing date: Feb 26 (consumers will be notified of the results.)
Coupon activation date: Feb 28 (by midnight)

Cinema coupons
Cinema coupons are divided into three categories:
- Universal and special screening coupons are available to all users in Shanghai with a GPS or IP location within the city.
- Cultural and entertainment-linked coupons target users who have purchased tickets to specific cultural and entertainment events in Shanghai. (Admission charge should exceed 60 yuan.)
Distribution period:
- Universal and cultural and entertainment-linked coupons will be available from March 1 to June 30, with two releases per day: One at 10 am and another at 4 pm.
- Special screening coupons will be distributed with specific film listings.
Coupon value and usage:
- Discounts can be applied to cinema tickets, with a maximum reduction of 30 yuan per ticket.
- Coupons can be used at participating cinemas in the city.
- Users can claim coupons via platforms such as Taopiaopiao, Maoyan and other apps or WeChat mini programs.

Notes:
1. For single-ticket purchases, a minimum spend of 9.90 yuan is required; for two or more tickets, a minimum spend of 19.80 yuan is required.
2. Users can claim two universal coupons and one special screening coupon or one entertainment-linkage coupon each month.
3. Each coupon can be redeemed only once per day.
4. Unused coupons or cancellations within 24 hours will count as a claim.

Sports coupons
Sports consumption coupons offer the following discounts:
- 10 yuan minimum spend: 5 yuan discount
- 20 yuan minimum spend: 10 yuan discount
- 40 yuan minimum spend: 20 yuan discount
- 60 yuan minimum spend: 30 yuan discount
- 120 yuan minimum spend: 50 yuan discount
- 200 yuan minimum spend: 80 yuan discount
Additionally, there are seven specialized coupons for specific sports or demographics, including: Elderly support, swimming, ice and snow sports, badminton, urban sports centers, soccer and tennis.
Notes:
1. Each person can receive up to three coupons per week, but only one coupon can be used per day.
2. Coupons will be made available through platforms such as the official WeChat mini program of the Shanghai Administration of Sports, Alipay, Cloud QuickPass and Suishenban. Real-name registration is required and distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
