2025 Summer Sweat Games arrives in Shanghai for exciting regional finals
The Canadian athletic apparel brand lululemon brought its 2025 Summer Sweat Games to the Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai's Jing'an district on Aug 2, as part of the ongoing Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season. The event, one of 18 city-customized experiences, attracted fitness enthusiasts from across Shanghai.
Now in its third consecutive year in Jing'an, the Summer Sweat Games transformed Anyi Road into a lively, temporary sports arena. Nearly 2,000 participants joined the event, creating a high-energy atmosphere that celebrated fitness and community engagement.
More than 10 interactive sports stations, including ball passing, rock climbing, and jump rope challenges, lined "Sweat Avenue", offering fitness lovers a chance to push their limits. The brand's ambassadors led a range of group sessions, from yoga and aerobics to high-intensity interval training, guiding participants through dynamic workouts and strengthening the community spirit.
As an annual signature event, the 2025 Summer Sweat Games drew close to 6,000 participants from 42 cities nationwide, with nearly 1,500 teams competing. The Shanghai qualifier featured nine teams vying for the top position, with Triple R Fitness ultimately taking first place and securing their spot in the national finals.
Following regional qualifiers in Xi'an, Xiamen, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, the competition now continues to Dalian, Nanjing, Beijing, and Wuhan. The national championship will be held in Chengdu, where eight winning teams will compete for the title.
